Its our time together...

I thought after staying in mumbai for a year on my own, in a crazy PG in Mahim..going back home would have its pros and cons.. now that it has been a good 6 months(Whoa! its been long) I can say that coming back home about which I was so apprehensive...has not been a bad bet at all (well who doesnt like coming back home!!)

Something which has now become a part of my daily routine and which I thoroughly look forward to is the post dinner conversations that I sit and have with my parents... even though all of us dont have dinner together many a times...it has become a ritual and I love it...

even though we sometimes have nothing to say to eachother...my parents come and sit with me before I go to sleep and then we either do our own thing or we sit around and talk about how our day was.. It is just something that I have got used to...be it whatever time in the time we sit for a bit and then they head to sleep.. Don included (thats my dog!!)

Like today, its Saturday but I am at home ;) while I am typing this.. dad is reading, ma is doing a sudoku (which she claims she has become a champ at and needs to go one up one the difficulty level) Don is looking at all of us wondering when he will get that scoop of chocolate ice cream which I have to serve him ;)

Its one of the quieter days today but there are days when we have the craziest of conversations... its our time together when we sit around and spend "quality time". for me more than the "quality time" I look forward to sitting and chilling with them...

And guess what when they are in the mood they even tuck me to sleep and even though some of you will say I am too old for all this... I love it!! who doesnt like moms and dads kisisng us goodnight??

Just felt like writing about it.. thats the time of the day my ma decides what she wants to give me for lunch tomorrow at work, my dad decides on what time I should wake up, we take eachother's case, fight about the AC temperature and timer, talk randomly and then I announce I need to sleep...

Well ada's coming over tomorrow for lunch and I am looking forward to that...

Reading thru...

So yesterday a friend of mine sent me a link to a blg of his friends...going thru it, reading it...I realised that my poor blog would really be feeling ignored!!

So whats up blog?!?!?

Once upon a time there was a blog....

Yesterday I had met a friend for coffee and thats when I was reminded that once upon a time I had a blog which after the initial excitement had not been updated..in fact she also told me that she misses reading the updates (forgive me if I have misrepresented or exaggerated, cos now that comes with the profession you see!!)

So after coffee we went to do some grocery shopping for my sister and in our attempt to find iceberg lettuce.. (I almost felt like a knight from King Arthur's time who is out on a quest and wants to achieve it) I discovered that grocery shopping is not for me at all..

So because of the meeting over coffee I realised that I need to write and express...and now I shall go for a haircut :P
